CNSP changes rule in the life branch
The CNSP changed part of the rules in force for reinsurance operations related to life insurance for survivors and supplementary pension plans, in force since the edition of Resolution 168/07, which regulated the bases for opening up reinsurance. CNSP Resolution 394/20, published last week in the Federal Official Gazette, adds a paragraph to Art. 17 of that rule, according to which “the reinsurance operations relating to life insurance for survival and supplementary pension are exclusive to reinsurers local ”. The new paragraph establishes that no longer subject to this restriction “reinsurance operations related to risk coverage marketed in life insurance plans for survival or supplementary pension plans, alone or in conjunction with coverage for survival”. The new rule will start to take effect on December 1
